About

Join the Women in STEM Speaker Series with forensic scientist Dennise Heredia from 6pm-8pm at the California Oil Museum! On April 16th, Dennise will give a presentation on "Fingerprints and Their Role as an Effective Forensic Tool: Three Case Studies." 

Dennise Heredia is a Forensic Scientist for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office as part of the Forensic Services Bureau. She is assigned to the CSI & Fingerprint Unit. While her expertise is as a Latent Print Examiner, she is cross-trained to respond to crime scenes (from burglaries to homicides). She was born and raised in Oxnard. She received her B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis and her M.S. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from CSU Channel Islands. Prior to her employment with the Sheriff’s Office, she was a Senior Research Associate at Amgen in Thousand Oaks. She is and avid runner and a mama to her two children, Zuzu and Odin. 

Light Refreshments will be served. Doors open at 5:30pm.Suggested donation is $4 per person.
